BBC & Sky British GP Viewing Figures

Viewing figures for the British Grand Prix at Silverstone show Sky with an average of 0.45m watching the coverage between 11.00am and 4.15pm. The BBC had an average of 3.24m with a peak of 4.23m watching the coverage between 12.55pm and 3.30pm on BBC2 and BBC HD. An average of 2.64m watched the buildup to the race on BBC1 from 12.15-12.55.

Last year the BBC had an average of 4.94m with a peak of 6.6m for the British Grand Prix. Andy Murray in the Wimbledon final which started at 2.00pm would have had a substantial effect on the viewers this year compared to last.
