Adrian Sutil, on a 18 months suspended sentence for three years is hoping he can get back in Formula 1 during the season. Sutil who is bringing the case to the appeals Court in Munich is hopeful a Williams driver is released during the season when a sponsor doesn't pay.
"We will fight to remain in Formula 1" says Sutil's manager Manfred Zimmermann in Sports Bild "We are still hoping to get a place in 2012 and if so, in the course of the season."
Sutil speaking on Servus TV says "I am now in a new situation, but I'm motivated. For me, it is perhaps a short break, but it could be over very quickly if any opportunities open up." Sutil also adds he would like to "go back in 2013 in a very good Formula 1 team."
Reinstating his hope a team needs a replacement mid season the ex Force India driver says "It's a shame for me that I will probably not be there at the start in Melbourne, but hopefully one way or another I will (be back) in the course of the year"
