BBC F1 Fights Back With Ben Edwards

After loosing key staff to the new Sky Formula 1 team, the BBC has made a fight back by securing the services of the highly rated Ben Edwards reports GPUpdate.net. Edwards who is a former racer himself,  has commentated on various forms of motorsport  including F1 in the past.

Edwards who will be the lead commentator is known for his enthusiastic, energetic style as can be heard from the clip below(if don't know which is Edwards you will closer to the end of the clip!) His approach linked to that of Murray Walker could gel well with David Coulthard's more relaxed yet effective approach rather like the classic Walker/Brundle years.

Update 13 December: Edwards has confirmed the rumours on Twitter, "So, it looks as though it's really happening. I will be the BBC F1 commentator in 2012 and I can't wait! It took a while for things to be sorted, and thanks to ITV for being so understanding. Really looking forward to working with the crew."
