Alonso: Better To Be With Ferrari Than Win With Red Bull

Fernando Alonso has stated he has no regrets rejecting an offer from Red Bull in 2009 as he would rather be driving for Ferrari than have won championships with Red Bull.

In an interview with formulasantander.com when Fernando Alonso is asked if he had any regrets of not taking Red Bull's offer in 2009 he replies "No, no, because perhaps I'd have three or four world championships, but I wouldn't be as happy as I am now nor would I be driving a Ferrari. I think that it is more important for a racing driver to drive for Ferrari than it is to have a world championship."

When asked did it annoy him that Stefano Domenicali says Michael Schumacher is the best driver in history Alonso states "No, he is completely right. I don't think that anybody doubts that. Anyone who on seeing his record, 91 victories, seven world championships, etc., does not think that Michael is the best, does not know motor sport." Although later in the interview Alonso says Ayrton Senna is the best driver of all time.

On sharing another team with Lewis Hamilton, Alonso says it would be good as long as it was not at McLaren.
